My name is Mrs. Vicki Makaravage and I am extremely excited to begin a new school year at Linden Elementary. This will be my sixteenth year with the Linden School District serving as a teacher and building administrator. I have a Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Michigan-Flint with a specialization in Early-Childhood Education with a Fine Arts and Language Arts minor. I received my Master’s degree in the Art of Teacher from Marygrove College and completed my Education Specialist degree from Oakland University.
I take my position very seriously. My mission is to create a building atmosphere that encourages each child to develop a life time love for learning. I promote enthusiasm and high expectations in the areas of responsibility, decision making, respect and quality work. I will work to build a community in which every child develops a positive self esteem through an “I CAN” attitude.
The Linden Elementary staff and I have developed a team philosophy that recognizes and appreciates the uniqueness in each and every child. Through our cohesive team effort we will encourage each student to reach his/her full potential intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically.
It is my belief that children have a better opportunity for success when a positive relationship exists between home and school. I would encourage you to get involved in your child's learning and volunteer your time. You can do so by either joining our P.A.L.S. (Parents Active in Linden Schools) organization or by contacting your child’s classroom teacher. We appreciate any support you can give.
I look forward to an exciting and productive year.
